Health & Education RN
The Job description is a s follows:
Conducts new employee health assessments to include immunizations and screening.
Identifies employee problems; seeks consultation as necessary.
Orders labs or x-rays as needed.
Knowledge of activity restrictions appropriate to the severity of injury or illness.
Provides annual Health Assessments for all employees to include immunizations, TB Screenings, lab and x-ray work as needed.
Follow up with employees regarding status of health assessment and results of labs or x-rays.
Initiates exposure procedures according to policy. Orders and follow up with lab work as required. Provides consultation to employees who have exposure incidents.
Knowledge of regulations regarding employee healthcare needs.
Uses appropriate reporting mechanisms as required by state laws.
Provides educational resources to the employee as appropriate.
Maintains a good working relationship with other departments.
Develops and conducts orientation program and in-services for all employees, as requested.
Develops and conducts Continuing Education opportunities classes for CNA’s.
Schedules Continuing Education programs for nursing personnel, when requested.
Assists with CNA training programs.
This position will be in the on call rotation with the hospital nursing management.
Manages Safety, Emergency Preparedness, and EOC.
